Dr Dinah Parums did her undergraduate degree at King’s College, Cambridge University.

Dinah has worked as a Consultant and Senior Lecturer, as a medical manager and has postgraduate teaching experience and research experience within British universities and the NHS. She did her higher specialist training (residency) in Pathology at the John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford where she was Clinical Lecturer and then Clinical Tutor.

Dr Dinah Parums did her clinical medical studies and residency training at the John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford.

She was awarded membership of the Royal College of Pathologists (MRCPath) in 1991 and was awarded the fellowship (FRCPath) in 1999 along with a fellowship from the American College of Chest Physicians (FCCP). As a Senior Lecturer and Consultant at the Royal Postgraduate Medical School, Hammersmith Hospital, London, Dinah was involved in research and postgraduate teaching, and was a Royal College external postgraduate examiner.

After working as an external consultant to Pfizer Global R&D, Dinah worked for four years as a Principal Pharmaceutical Physician within AstraZeneca, U.K. In this role, she was part of a phase 3 oncology clinical trials team and published clinical trial reports and biomarker analysis data.

Dr Dinah Parums has postgraduate teaching experience, including working as a Clinical Tutor, University of Oxford Medical School.

Dr Dinah Parums has more than 40 peer-reviewed scientific publications and has recently published two invited oncology reviews (for Drugs of Today and Drugs of the Future). Dinah has more than 20 years of experience in reviewing medical and scientific manuscripts for journal publication. She has experience of working as a Clinical Editor with the British Medical Journal (BMJ) in London.

Dinah continues to review manuscripts for scientific and medical journals including Cancer Biomarkers and Medical Science Monitor and is a member of the International Editorial Review Board of Case Reports in Clinical Pathology (CRCP).

She is a member of the National Union of Journalists (NUJ), the American Medical Writers Association (AMWA), the European Medical Writers Association (EMWA) & the International Society for Medical Publication Professionals (ISMPP). She is familiar with GCP, ICH & GPP3 guidelines, the PhRMA Code, the ABPI Code of Practice, ICMJE Recommendations, the CONSORT statement & EFPIA Codes of Practice.
